After giving everyone quite a scare, singer Kelly Price has broken her silence, telling TMZ that she was not missing but was recovering from Covid-19.
The Grammy-nominated R&B and gospel singer says she almost didn’t survive the virus, and in fact, died for a moment, but doctors brought her back to life.
Price first shared that she had tested positive for Covid-19 on July 29, but then appeared to drop out of sight, which alarmed some family members who did not know her whereabouts.
Price explained that her husband was taking care of her at home for about a week before he also tested positive for Covid.
And when her symptoms worsened, Price had to be rushed to the hospital with a fever of 103 degrees.
She was later released with an oxygen tank due to the shortage of beds and relied on home healthcare workers.
Price says although she is now negative, she’s considered a “long hauler,” which refers to those who continue to have lingering complications from the virus, and “is facing a very uphill battle right now.”
It is not known if she is now vaccinated. We wish her a speedy and full recovery.
