An ode to the hood-classic Oldsmobile and getting it out the mud, Meechy Baby’s infectious new single “Cutlass,” pairs hard-hitting trap beats with a catchy melodic cadence that serves his raspy high energy flow. Directed by Rich Porter, the vibrant boisterous visual showcases Meechy Baby in rare form as he delivers a powerful, fun performance while paying homage to his rags to riches lifestyle. Watch HERE. Meechy Baby’s raw straight-no-chaser demeanor, paired with his knack for honest story-telling, solidifies “Cutlass” as a certified street anthem. Best known for his 2020 hit single “Talk My Sh#*,” Meechy Baby is a musical force to be reckoned with. With two albums under his belt, Meechy Baby will be featured on YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s upcoming compilation project alongside P Yungin, Quando Rondo, No Cap, Rjae and Rojay. The album is set to drop later this month, the first release from the Never Broke Again / Motown partnership. Never Broke Again Vol. 1 is the brainchild of Louisiana-bred rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again (aka NBA YoungBoy). The highly anticipated project is an eclectic mix of Hip Hop/R&B and delivers gut wrenching, raw lyrics coupled with hard-hitting anthems, dominating from the airwaves to the streets and everything in between.

KATY, Texas — We hope this report is wrong, but it appears NBA YoungBoy just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. The rapper, whose name is an acronym for “Never Broke Again,” is being investigated after he allegedly pistol-whipped a local man. The victim told police he was attacked suddenly after arriving at a music studio in Katy. The man said a bag was placed over his head and he was punched, kicked and struck with a firearm. Allegedly, the victim recognized NBA YoungBoy when the bag was removed from his head, and he said the rapper also FaceTimed his manager.  “I got him here,” YoungBoy reportedly told his manager, to which the manager allegedly replied, “release him, you don’t need any more legal trouble.” YoungBoy has had multiple cases over the course of his rap career. The Louisiana rapper was charged with disorderly conduct and possession in 2019 for punching a housekeeper at a hotel and having marijuana. In 2018, he was arrested in Tallahassee Fla., after being wanted in connection with a domestic kidnapping, and in 2017, he received a 10-year suspended prison term for a first-degree attempted murder charge in Baton Rouge. A spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that the victim was dropped off in front of his house, then was transported to a hospital by his mom and girlfriend with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is still ongoing.  We’ve seen this story before, and hope this young man gets his act together before something irreversible happens.
