Michele McKnight / On-Air Personality

Michele McKnight has worked in communications for over 12 years with a heavy concentration in broadcast. Her experience has stemmed with Hot AC, Top 40, Alternative, Urban AC and Hip Hop formatted stations in Houston, San Antonio, Peoria, Milwaukee, Prairie View and Lake Charles. In addition to Michele’s time on the airwaves – she has also served as a correspondent who leveraged a platform to create an opportunity for musicians and singers in Texas to perform on Daytime television during her time with KABB Fox 29 in San Antonio. Through the years she has been privileged to work with brands like Dodge, Jordin Sparks’ Ambition line, League of Young Voters, San Antonio River Authority, Robert Graham, The Chris Paul Foundation, Houston Texans, Martell, Jack Daniels and more. Empowering women and creating a safe space for them to share their stories is one of the most important missions driving Michele in the work she does. “Sometimes artistic expression is more therapeutic than just words. It helps women vocalize their fears, needs, wants and desires, while nurturing a confidence to be more articulate and assertive in their own lives.” In an effort to manifest a platform to nurture that influence, Michele founded “Beats and Baddies” in 2018, which is a movement powered through music, poetry and other creative expressions. Life is pretty funny and it’s crazy how things have a way of coming full circle. Just 6 months ago, Michele was referencing her radio influences, in an article with the All Access’ column, “Women to Watch” where she referenced both Madd Hatta and Shelly Wade… and now here she is working with both on the all new Vibe powered by KTSU 90.9 FM. Michele believes that music and entertainment provide a euphoric release from everyday life and she is looking forward to contributing to the necessary energy in her new home, The Vibe.
